After you finish reading about the titles of the classic Bollywood movies, if there is anything that you remember which is similar to the list, feel free to post your comments on my post.

5 Top Classic Movies of Bollywood:

  1. Kashmir Ki Kali:

Let me begin with the movie of one of my favorite Bollywood actor of all times, Shammi Kapoorji. Although, I love all his movies, this one is close to my heart for many reasons. The story is light, movie shots of Kashmir are captivating, and the songs are cherry on the cake. One cannot neglect the beauty of Shammi Kapoor sahab’s acting and Sharmila Tagore’s appearance.

  1. Jab Jab Phool Khile:

Another movie with breath-taking sceneries with star cast, Shashi Kapoorji and the evergreen gorgeous, Nanda. Even at present, my rainy season begins with listening to one of the most mesmerizing songs from the movie titled, ‘Yeh Sama’.

  1. Guide:

If you haven’t seen the Bollywood movie Guide, starring Dev Anand and Waheed Rehman yet, you have missed a great deal! The movie begins with the struggle of a lonely housewife and a guide; it ends on a strong spiritual journey that will leave you stunned. The songs are simply magical and one of the songs is close to my heart, ‘Aaj bhi jeene ki tamanna hai’.

  1. Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi:

This movie is in black and white starring all the three brothers Ashok Kumar, Kishore Kumar, and Anoop Kumar. The whole movie is shot beautifully with light comedy mixed with suspense throughout that won’t let you miss the colours. One cannot miss listening to the songs including the most popular tracks; ‘Ek Ladki Bheegi Bhaagi Si’ and ‘Haal Kaisa Hai Janab Ka’. I cannot end this description without mentioning the actress Madhubala (the epitome of classic beauty).

  1. Aya Sawan Jhoom Ke:

Talking about classic times and missing to mention the star legend, Dharmendra would be an injustice to Bollywood. This Bollywood movie enjoyed great limelight and recognition due to its light-hearted songs, romantic sceneries, and beautiful story. The gorgeous actress Asha Parekhji has played her part beautifully and did complete justice to acting and the dance tracks in the movie.

Are you ready to pick one from the list above with your tub of popcorn? Well, I am beginning with the black and white Bollywood classic, ‘Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi’. What’s your pick?
