Vidyut Jammwal is known to many as a great and influencing martial artist, actor and producer. Almost all his fans and followers are aware of his acting style, techniques of martial arts and career in Bollywood. However, there is a different side to him that most of the people are yet to learn.

People mostly look at what influencers do on multiple social sites, newspapers or rarely in person, but why they do it is something that not many could think straight about. Vidyut is one of those strong influencers, who is a stimulus to many, knowingly or unknowingly.
Let’s understand why he does what he does and how does it impact a common person’s life through the following points:
1. Nudity Misquoted as Vulgarity
Internet seemed to be on fire when our lead actor and martial artist posted some (so-called) nude pictures quite some time ago. Few appreciated the actor’s most direct approach towards Mother Nature and many opposed the idea of posting such nudity. In short, there were mixed reactions. People, however, paid attention only to the exteriors of the male anatomy; nonetheless, no one actually got to the core of the message!
This point throws some focus on the ideology behind Vidyut’s unique style of approaching people through self-exploration mode which was wrongly termed as nudity. Being naked is a way of expressing that one has detached from worldly pleasures or looking out for spiritual goals to accomplish.
In fact, in Sanatan Dharm, nudity is an ascetic practice that leads to spiritual liberation by signifying detachment from materialism. This practice is mostly followed by our very respectable ‘Naga Sadhus’, ‘Aghoris’ and other great disciples of spirituality. You will also witness body-painters and dancers displaying artwork through nudity; but is it really vulgar? Let’s check that out!
The word ‘Naga’ also refers to a snake-god in Hindu mythology that is strongly associated with one of the most powerful deities ‘Lord Shiva’. When a snake sheds its skin (clothes), it is a natural process to welcome physical growth or expansion. Any natural phenomenon is not based on any kind of fun; has a valid reason attached, and therefore should be first understood and treated with utmost respect.
Nudity is a very prominent part of Spartan culture too as it promotes virtue, health and natural strength and protection, according to their cultural belief. Sometimes, remaining without clothes takes you straight to your goal(s). This means you are not interested to divert your concentration from your goal to anything materialistic.
There is a saying in Sanskrit often quoted by ‘Naga Sadhus’ – “We have achieved ecstasy through our asceticism. We have mounted the winds. You mortals see only our bodies.” (Translated from Sanskrit language)
2. Non-Aggressively Aggressive Fighter
Vidyut has been practicing ‘Kalaripayattu’, an ancient Martial Arts form, since his childhood. This art teaches how to balance your mind, body and spirit and get all aligned as one. Many leading film and other personalities often lose their cool upon getting targeted. Vidyut knows defensive style of communication without using any aggression in speech or actions. His cheeky sense of humor comes from the ‘art of balancing’ through ‘Kalari’.
He has proven to be the most determined ‘Kalari’ warrior by promoting better communication, positive relationship with family and fans, conflict management and personal well-being all by strictly adapting to non-aggression. He knows that the only potential benefit of aggression is to use it when a forceful action is required as a self-defense mechanism in a fight or to protect someone.
Most of his interviews are direct (often misinterpreted as being ‘rude’). He knows the advantage or effectiveness of controlled assertiveness. His subconscious mind is legally sound and this is what keeps him away from any major legal consequences.
Vidyut’s assertive style is clearly noticed when he replied to a witty comment on the internet by sharing his picture balancing on a tree trunk with a self-drawn smiley face. To add more, a well-balanced state of mind of his inspires us to be calm in the trickiest situations. The answers are hidden within us and there is absolutely nothing realistic you cannot do that your mind can think of.

3. An Exploration Through Solitude
Vidyut’s extended caption under his so-called nude picture is quite an inspiration. Well, if the readers have really paid attention to its meaning, it could lead you to one of the earlier stages of self-awareness called ‘Acceptance’. When one learns to accept everything under the umbrella of the universe, including his own limitations and possibilities, he then knows the true meaning of self-realization.
Once you learn about yourself, it is easier for you to accept everything in and beyond your reach – including the ambience, nature, the divine power, isolation, pain, love, separation, happiness, and equality – without questioning why things are happening in a certain way. You break your comfort zone and enjoy self-challenging games in this learning stage of acceptance.
When in solitude, you learn about different universal frequencies provoking vibrations in your human body each leading you to euphoria. The moment you start connecting with the universe, you realize a different indescribable energy boosting within your body. The conscience developed in this solitude will make you experience something extremely unexplored and unique.
You not only belong to yourself, but also to the entire universe. You overcome all the fear within you and try not to make the same mistakes committed by you in your past. Vidyut’s experiences are more or less the same in this stage. His self-dedication through solitude is, at times, his misconstrued fortitude, sadly.
4. Intense Belief of Mind Over Body
Your mind is the most powerful weapon that you are not even aware of. In many interviews, Vidyut has been heard emphasizing more on the mental strength. He often talks about how women use their mind in the form of sixth sense to push away any unforeseen incident or to gauge the intensity of any serious situation beforehand.
Meditation can boost your power of imagination which is as infinite as the universe within and outside of you. As a practitioner of ‘Kalaripayattu’, he is very well aware of mental discipline and awareness, and the power of concentration. ‘Kalari’ trains one to emphasize more on the mental power by incorporating rigorous physical training, ‘pranayam’ (breath control), meditation and mind-body coordination. All this promotes the power of resilience, stress-management and absolute composure.
According to most of his interviews and social posts, it is the mind that governs the body and the body only listens to the mind. Your mind introduces you to the most brilliant mystical powers that you cannot realize unless you are in total isolation from the world.
Moreover, the intensity of your belief in your mind leads to sharp memory, regular task management, enhanced mood, better spatial reasoning, brain stimulation, mental agility, good troubleshooting skills, attentiveness or alertness and overall cognitive development. You can watch all these in most of Vidyut’s movies in the form of his stunts.
5. Extreme Self-Awareness
It is very important to be self-aware in order to be a good artist. Only a true artist has true self-awareness. He is aware about his own limitations, positive aspects, points of balance, problems, solutions and almost everything within his or her reach. Once you claim self-awareness, you can make fun of yourself as this activity boosts your confidence extensively.

Vidyut’s self-awareness promotes his strong analytical skills which in turn help him in taking correct project-related decisions. Yes, it is true that opportunities reach you through luck, but many people have changed their destiny through continuous hardwork and indestructible perseverance. As a martial artist and an actor, Vidyut is one of them!
Believe it; anybody who has attained self-awareness can adapt to anything in his or her approach. Once you know who you are, it is easier for you to accept everything around you. This is because self-awareness allows you to understand the purpose attached to every happening. You know that you cannot please all the people all the time. No matter how big a name you are, your powers cannot reach beyond a certain point.
Self-awareness through Vidyut’s motivational videos on his Youtube channel is all about understanding your emotions, values, communication style, behavioral patterns and stress triggers. One very important thing you learn from self-awareness is leadership skill. This skill helps you to govern not only your mind, but also take situation-based actions.
6. The Heavenly Abode
Vidyut Jammwal has mentioned the words “the abode of the divine” in the caption of one of his pictures. This can be referred to Mother Nature, the Universe and Your Body as the Temple. When your body is deemed as a temple, you start addressing it as your comfort zone. There is an ineffable aura that keeps toxic people away from you.
Vidyut has expressed his comfort zone by exploring the adventurous side beyond new boundaries. To him, his adventure is his comfort zone and he does not allow people to bother his ‘me’ time. That ‘me’ time is heavenly for him or anyone living such an adventure.
You can experience heaven living in the same form once you realize the difference between –
- what is real and what is not
- who you are and who you are not
- what you can do and what you cannot, and
- what do you want and what you do not want
Of course, it is a long list and this article is not enough to explain the entire phenomenon. With these words, what Vidyut may have meant is that heaven is not exactly restricted to an imaginary place, but is a state of mind! It is what and how you feel from within and all that you experience pleases you at the current moment. The feeling is ecstatic and each one of us has a different description of it!
Divinity – a feeling, perhaps, which is quite an indescribable philosophy (including great mystical powers) in itself. So, when you are surrounded by divinity, the frequency of your body reflects compassion, action, achievement and determination. You create energy that rejuvenates and recreates you and gets you prepared for the next chapter in your life.
The energy created within by sending and receiving certain natural frequencies gives birth to a new individual altogether. You are all set to accept new challenges in your life! Once you step into this world again, you will attract people with the same thoughts, actions, purpose, powers and energy. These are the people who you want to spend your valuable time with and continue marching ahead in life.
7. Unseen Meditational Power
One needs to dedicate his whole life to understand the power of meditation. However, you can still experience certain transcendental powers within if you practice a few hours of meditation daily.
Vidyut’s style of meditation is taking a deep dive within in isolation and exploring new opportunities. His wisdom is often misunderstood as his internal persona cannot gel with everyone he meets. Hence, he is very well-known to and by a selective group of people only.

Meditation gives birth to a teacher within you and you can change lives with your words of wisdom attained through it. Since Vidyut’s ruling planet is Jupiter (Guru), according to his sun-sign, many people might misunderstand his personality most of the times. However, he is the best teacher that a person can ever find as he has been influencing so many lives unintentionally and unknowingly.
Having said so, Vidyut’s intuitive power is clearly noticed when it comes to performing some dangerous stunts. It is due to his power of intuition how he escapes major accidents on the movie sets. Well, that’s not luck always! His unseen meditational power is reflected in his calculative measures he takes while raising the bar of each new stunt performed by him.
Each stunt is a sheer calculation and combination of physical fitness + geometry + intensity + risk assessment + place + control + pain + endurance + perseverance + skills + training + safety + precautions + focus + positive mindset and strong coordination. As a stunt choreographer for his own stunts, Vidyut Jammwal has to keep all these in mind and then move ahead with the execution of action in his movies. His style of ‘Kalari’ promotes his agility, flexibility and swift movement in narrow areas.
It is his strong connect with self through meditation that allows him to be so calculative when it comes to performing action each time. End result – Standing ovation for his action scenes!
To conclude, there is more to Vidyut’s chiseled, adventurous & athletic physique displaying gratified passion for exploration and movement clearly expressing vitality & freedom. Such people are often misunderstood in following ways:
- Silence Mistaken as Cowardice
- Spirituality Mistaken as Escapism
- Straightforwardness Mistaken as Rudeness
- Non-Aggression Mistaken as Submission
- Recklessness Mistaken as Carelessness and Impatience
- Freedom Mistaken as Disconnection
Lastly, he is the person who, from time to time, you will find renouncing worldly pleasures and be in the ‘YOU’ form – the lord, the supreme, the universe lies in you! We wish all the best to the artist for all his future endeavors.
