Spiritual Confessions with Shreya Narayan:

Shruti Sharma: Is spiritual growth important for an artist in the industry?
Shreya Narayan: Spiritual growth is important for everyone regardless of what profession you belong to. As an actress, I am playing a character. Just as every character has an ABC that depends on the choice of an artist, spirituality is similar…
Being spiritual gives you clarity and direction in what you choose as an artist. It builds your own character in career as well as personal life. Understanding the basic ABC of human life through spiritual growth is my job as an artist.
Shruti Sharma: Would you give credit to your luck and God for your career?

Shreya Narayan: The pain I have been through during my mom’s cancer treatment; it changed me to be more empathetic towards life and others. Spirituality teaches you that life could not have gone any different. As I read in Geeta, “Jo Hona Hai Woh to Pehle se hi Nishchit Hai…” So you have been the chosen one to go through this journey.
What do you think who put these wishes and desires into your heart? No one can cage your spirit. During my testing times, my body was in pain but, my spirit was always free.
I strongly believe in God and I am the luckiest person on this planet!
Shruti Sharma: How do you spend alone time with God?

Shreya Narayan: By being calm and happy in my solitude. I enjoy my own company. It’s a blissful stage for me when I am alone. Sometimes it is perfectly okay for me to do nothing at all and just be myself.
It’s one of the greatest things to choose your own thoughts and spend time with yourself. In spirituality, there is no concept of time, and when you have experienced spirituality, you do not fear time, loneliness, and solitude.
The concept of linear time that you believe in is actually taking you away from your manifestations.
Shruti Sharma: Do you believe in soul connections?
Shreya Narayan: I believe in magnetic pulls and yes! I act because I feel elevated. The desire is not mine; it has been put in my heart by this beautiful Universe, and that is how I have a soul connection with the Universe. I am meeting people that I feel connected to.
Shruti Sharma: Are you superstitious in your works as some artists?
Shreya Narayan: No – I am just very cautious and careful about whom I interact with. I always meet people with similar awareness. There is no compromise, and so I am not superstitious about anything. I do things out of pure bliss and happiness.
Shruti Sharma: Are you spiritual, religious or both?
Shreya Narayan: I am spiritual, but in this 3D world we need to express our spirituality by following religious practices. I am happy performing rituals, puja, and ceremonies at home with family. I remember my mom used to keep Vatt Savitri fast.

Shruti Sharma: Do you remember a kind gesture or an act of kindness by a stranger for you?
Shreya Narayan: Although there are many, I remember one incident which is still very close to my heart. I was going through a heart break and was totally devastated. I thought I would live all my life alone. Even when I witnessed any couple together, I would start crying. Once, I stepped out of a meeting and I was too emotional. I took an auto rickshaw while weeping, and the driver asked if I was okay.
The driver was an elderly man; he started sharing his life story. He had two kids, and he kept appreciating his wife for all that she had done for him. He said something that shook me to the core; “Mam what I am experiencing in life right now the support, love, care, and companionship, you would never experience this if you stay alone.” I got down from the auto rickshaw as a different person.
Is there any message you would like to pass to the viewers and readers?

Shreya Narayan:
- Don’t doubt yourself!
- Don’t doubt your Desires!
- Don’t judge any situations in life!
Learn to accept what you are receiving; we are filled with doubts filled in us by others, and this is applicable mainly to the girls and women. Do not let the circumstances affect you.
